Why the profile matters
For many searches with a place in them, the map results show up before the regular results, and those come from Business Profiles. Your website and your profile feed each other: the profile sends people to the site, and the site confirms the details on the profile. When they disagree on hours, phone or address, people lose trust and so do search engines.
What the basics cover
| Item | What we check or set |
|---|---|
| Primary category | The closest match to your main service, plus a few accurate extra categories |
| Name, address, phone | Exactly as on the website, with no extra keywords in the name |
| Service area | For businesses that travel to customers, the areas you cover, with your street address hidden if customers don't visit |
| Hours | Regular hours and holiday hours, matching the site |
| Website link | Pointing to the right page, which for multi-location businesses is the location page |
| Services and photos | Services listed in your words, and real photos of your work, team and vehicles |
What stays with you
The profile is yours. You own it, and you verify it yourself when Google asks, by video, postcard or another method it offers. We work as a manager you can remove at any time. We don't create profiles for addresses you don't operate from, and we don't write, buy or filter reviews. Replying to reviews is worth doing, and we can suggest a simple habit for it, but the replies should come from you.
After setup
Profiles drift. Someone suggests an edit, a holiday passes without new hours, a category changes. We show you where to look each month, which takes a few minutes, and what to do if Google applies an edit you didn't make.
Questions
Can you get my profile into the top three on the map?
No one can promise that. Map results depend heavily on distance from the person searching, plus reviews and how well the profile matches the search. We make sure the parts you control are complete and correct.
My profile is suspended. Can you fix it?
We can help you find what triggered it and prepare a clean reinstatement request, but Google makes the decision, and the request comes from your account.
