What schema does
Schema markup is a block of code, usually JSON-LD in the page head, that labels facts a person can already read on the page: your business name, address or service area, hours, phone, the services on a page, and the page's place in the site. Search engines use it to understand the page with less guessing. It can make a page eligible for certain search features, but Google decides when to show them.
Types we usually add
LocalBusiness or a subtype
Name, address or service area, hours, phone, logo and links to your profiles. We pick the closest subtype, such as Plumber or Dentist.
Service
The service on the page, who provides it and the areas it covers.
BreadcrumbList
The path from the home page to the current page, matching the breadcrumbs people see.
FAQPage
Questions and answers that are visible on the page, written for customers first.
Rules we follow
- Markup only describes what's visible on the page. Nothing hidden, nothing extra.
- No review or rating markup for reviews you collected about yourself on your own site.
- Business details match your Business Profile and your other listings, word for word where possible.
- Every page is tested with Google's Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator before launch.
Adding markup to a site you already have
Many sites carry markup from an old plugin that's wrong or out of date: an old address, a closed location, or the wrong business type. We read what's there, remove what conflicts, and add clean JSON-LD to the template so new pages get it automatically.
Questions
Will schema get me star ratings in search results?
Probably not, and we won't try to fake it. Google limits review stars for local businesses that review themselves. Your real reviews belong on your Business Profile.
Does schema help with AI search tools?
It helps any system that reads pages make sense of the facts on them. Clear text on the page still matters most.
